i wish to do a turbo conversion on a v6, 3vz-fe toyota engine.
what parts are required to do such a thing?? is it just a matter of having someone connect up a turbo, intercooler, exhaust manifold, boost controler and pipe??
i do not know anyone who has done a turbo conversion on any car so i do not know wot would be required and how much it would cost. also, id rather not speak to the local performance garages until i know a little nore about the whole process.
any help would be fantastic |

First you need find out how much Comp the engine has an decide how much boost to run 6psi shoudl be enough safley on stock V6. you need to find a sutible turob either 2 or 1 depedening on your desired set-up. Along with an aftermarket ECU to get it all running right. You will need to create some custom exhuast manifolds to hang your turbo or turbos off. That alone can cost up to $1000 each. piping done good another $1000 up the whole exercise coudl start as low as $5000 go up to $12000. This is using alot of custom part and all done correctly.
I know a few V6 Holden turbo conversion which have cost $7000 but have been better then the, Supercharged kits on offer.
