| ey boyz ,can u'z tell me how to install the boost controller , i know its got instructions but i need it explained a lil beta so that i can understand wat to do. piping for cooler as well is best from exhaust joint or if you have the cash autobarn do it for around 800 bux , the piping on my old tx5 was home made job off the buy i got the car from, it was realli shitty and i had alot of issues with it,also it pays to use good hoses to join piping. |

Good work Champ. The boost controller, if it is a manual controller, ie. bleed tap, will mean you will have to bypass the factory controller which is under the right-hand side of the turbo (inlet side). remove the hose to the wastegate actuator, and from the compressor housing. Push on your new hose to both parts, with the controller in the middle.
It will feel sluggish down low and boost will be more progressive. But it will let you run upto 12psi on the standard ECU. If you want to run more, get yourself a chip of some sort, or take it to someone that has a chassis dyno, and getthem to play with your airflow meter. Dodgy option though. |

Your new TX5 looks really nice. I was wondering what size was the intercooler on you 87 TX5 and where did you get the piping for the intercooler. Have you had any problems with your 87 flat spotting on take off or on low revs. |

| sorry mate can;t help ya with the cooler size , but i will get back to ya i have to measure it , but as i told zorb the cooler was a huge trick , when i bought the car i thought i got a nice front mount but i couldn;t work out y it wasn;t all hooked up,it turned out that the cooler was in fact 2 small stock front mounts weilded together which fucks up the inside core and allows no air flow and the piping just keeps poping out. but i do know repco have coolers now that can handle over 600hp ,core size 450(W)*295(H)*65(D)mm for around 300-400 (bigger cooler size : 590(W)*295(H)*65(D). autobarn also have coolers but they charged alot more , last time i looked for hybrid cooler was 400-500 and 800 for piping. but i don;t know if anyone else has found this but autobarn were really bad in stocking parts for us tx5 boys. , i got told " nah mate only sell import shit here ! fuk they piss me off that day!! |

| to connect the cooler pipes i used proper turbo hose with hose clamps but you can use normal hose like radiator hose without too many problems ,it is better to use the proper stuff. i took in my orignal pipe that was going from throttle body to turbo into a exhaust joint and they made up a pipe exact same ,not sure what its made of realli light weight though, prices very from shop to shop. |
