A few guys have orgainised this cruise for one of our 'cruise buddies' who's in a REAL bad way.

Posted in HOT4s forum:

"Hows it going lads.
After reading the thread in the HOT 4s HANGOUT about Gremln (Jason Grey) on how he only has 12 months to have a Lung, Heart and Liver transplant or he will be dead made me think how lucky some of us have it. This Jason lad has been fighting this prob' he's got since he was born but seems now its really starting to take its toll on him. I'm not to sure how much money Jason has to try to get to pay for his medical bills but to have to sell his PRIDE AND JOY i can only imagine how high the bills are. I have never met or spoken to Jason in all my life except once or twice on the computer and i had no idea he was in such a bad condition. After i read how sick he was and that his life can stop so soon it kinda moved me you can say. I guess cause you never hear this dude complain about nothing. Not once have i seen a post by Jason complaining about the situation he's in. If somebody (on the forum's) needs help or info on anything Jason will go out his way to try and help out who ever it may be. To me he seems like one tough man to be able to be in the position he is in and not to winge. If that was me in his shoe's i'd have given up by now. And i read that yeaterday the poor dude had a lung callapse on him, NOT GOOD.

So we was thinking of having a cruise for JASON. Try get as many cars as possible. The more cars and people the better. I have seen how many cars and people get to some of these cruise and i recon if we can get all you cruisers out there to just put in $5 to $10 each im sure we could raise a nice little sum of $$$$ to help Jason out.

I was thinking to do the cruise in about 3 weeks on a Saturday or Sunday and maybe go to Newcastle (Something differnt than the Gong) or somewhere up that way.
I know some lads might be thinking Whats $5 or $10 going to do? Trust me if we can get enough cars to come and people we will raise a fair bit of money for the dude (Jason). I myself donated $500 to Jason out my own pocket and like i said "iv'e never met the lad" but if i can help in someway to help save this dudes life its all worth it. Just to know that you were part of the reason why a person got to live longer is a pretty good feeling. I had plans on putting that $500 towards the Rex but i thought F*ck the car i can fix it up any time i want but poor Jason might not get the chance to ever drive again. Doesn't seem right when you think about it does it lads.

3 weeks notice is plenty of time to put away $5 or $10 (more if want).
SO COME ON ALL YOU FELLOW CRUISERS OUT THERE. LETS TRY AND HELP SAVE JASONS LIFE.
Remember JASON GREY is a cruiser just like us. Lets help him get back into his car so he can cruise once again. What do you all say.

P.S I'll post meeting places and times after i find out if many people want to come on the cruise and help out JASON.
If it all goes through and I get a good responce to the cruise people can give me their donation and i'll deposit into Jasons bank account the following weekday.
I'll aslo try to organise for Hot4s to come to and take some photos but no promises on that i'll see what they say but if its to help save somebodies life i'm sure HOT4s would love to be there. I'll keep you all posted on whether HOT4s will be there or not.

If any body else has a idea in mind that might help raise money for Jason let us know what it is.
I'm sure Jason will appreciate all our help.

Background from the man himself when someone FINALLY asked what his problem was.

<< I need a heart/lung/liver transplant.

I have cystic fibrosis which has caused my lungs and liver to fail. The transplant doctors in Sydney refused to attempt to perform a transplant on my because they said "I would bleed out and ultimately die on the table due to the severity of my health".
This meant that I was forced to moved to Brisbane where a team would attempt to perform the first combined heart/lung/liver transplant in the southern hemisphere.
If I dont recieve the organs within the next 12 months the prospects of surviving are not good.
I am on constant 24 hr oxygen and basically need to be admitted into hospital every 4-6 weeks for a 14 day course of iv antibiotics.

Cheers
jason >>

Im obviously going, but i just wanted to spread the word on some of other forums i post on....

If anyone wants to come on the cruise or just meet us at the Park.

<< Hi Guys,

Most of you on this forum know of Gremln (Jason). Besides being one of us, with a damn nice car and a top bloke to boot, Jason has had his fair share of health problems. As I was checking through the for sale section I saw he had his car for sale to cover medical expenses.

We here at SilverBulletPerformance thought it was high time we did something.

To help Jason out, all you have to do is send an email to the below address

forourmatejason@hotmail.com

Let us know how much you would like to donate and your real name and forum nickname and we will forward the bank details to you so you can deposit the money into the account. The money goes straight to Jason.

Doesn't matter whether you want to donate 5c or $500. It all helps.

Anyone who makes a donation will go into the draw to win a turbosmart boost controller.

And to get the ball rolling I on behalf of SilverBulletPerformance will be donating $50.

If we all chip in and help we can make a big difference.

Thanks to everyone for taking the time to read this and you all have two weeks to do your thing, then we will draw the winner.

Thanks Martin >>

We've all made donations, and the boost controller offer is genuine!

I would love to come to this cruise...

I met Jason at the Kandos Street Machine Show and he seemed like a really nice person...

The only prob, is my g/f's birthday party is on Sat night... So I dunno if I'll be able to make it...

I'll try my hardest to be there to support Jason and I wish Jason all the best when he does have his operation and pray to god that he makes it through...

Just an update people...

Yes people its just come out in the open. Watch Channel 9 news tonight for information on Brisbane's first triple transplant

The online news story doesn't reveal the name. But Jason's friends on FFF have confirmed that it was indeed GREMLN who got the gift of life.
