My boys and I spent 4 days last weekend camping in the infield of New York's Watkins Glen international raceway and I had the time of my life. Watkins Glen is a 2.54 mile road course that is visited once by the NASCAR Winston cup series each year. It's one of only two road courses they race on. NASCAR is not the only draw, we also got to see the Rolex series cars which include GT cars like Ferrari, Porsche, Lotus, Corvette, Mustang and others. We partied hard every night and were woken up every morning at 9am by really REALLY LOUD race cars starting practice on the track just a few yards away. Nice huh? I took over a hundred pictures but here are a few choice ones:

We filled up a kiddie pool in the back of a pickup truck and did the occasional beer funnel

Sure looks like you guys had a good time. Nothing beats the rumble of a grid full of v8's  I like the circuit races better than the ovals though.
