Hey guys. i just signed up for this site today. its good. 
Um yeah, i recently bought this small plug called a "p@wer Plugx" for $10 off ebay.
I was a bit sceptical at first as it claims an increase of 25hp and is especially designed for NA vl commies. but such a power incease for such a small amount of money was always gonna trigger doubt. I figured its only $10 so i bought it.
My mate whos an apprentice mechanic reckons that these things are a crock of shit and only work for a few Km's before the silicon in them burns out.
Apparently they plug into a sensor of some sort  (ignition sensor!?) i dunno.
anyways, what do u guys reckon of these?
Has anyone used them before?

You need to ask the question, if it adds 25hp wouldnt they install the part at the factory? If it was only 10$. Somehow I doubt it works

the guy whos selling it is definately full of shit, not knowing where its connected its hard to say what its capable of.. perhaps it just advances the timing or something... at $10 tho its no great loss... let us know how it goes... but your mates probably right

mmm yeah i came to the same conclusion. im really tempted to try it but its not worth it. i might take it to my mechanic and see what he reckons... if i can be bothered. anwyways, thanks for the help guys,
