Best starting point is to makes sure it all gets running well. Splitfire have brought out "tune up" kits for many cars, and from memory, your car is one such car. The kit includs, plugs, leads and a high flow washable filter that will fit straight into your airbox. FOr list of kits and sotckists, go to www.lynxcorp.com.au .Other things you can do is put good oil in your car that will suit it. Also lose all unecissary weight in the car, and set up a cold air feed for the intake system, and have your carby rebuilt so it fresh and running at optimum, run premium unleaded, and maybe even fit a spacer plate to inlet.

intake and exhaust
cold air gives you more power and a good tune will help
reducing the amount of work the motor has to do to get air in and get exhaust out is usually the cheapest

more expensive option is a larger carbie
