| well, to the question asked quite a while back in ur profile "is it legal?" yes it is legal because the only restrictions really on supercharging or turbocharging V8's are on holden 5.7L models, which ur not allowed to supercharge them, so ur in the clear with ur car, no need to worry about it being illegal |

Yeah, i think that there must be a lot more portential for that motor, was that dyno figure with the timing retarded, boost down low and running real rich ??
And in reply to TX5_turbo15, umm, is that in your state or what, because it is perfectly legal in victoria to have a capa supercharger kit fitted to your gen 3 5.7l v8. They have gone through all the engineering for it, so yeah, that has got me curious.

| i think it might only be in W.A. that it is illegal to have 5.7L's fitted with superchargers (other wise u have to pay a mighty big fee to get a permit for the bastard) and yes, mate, im not giving u shit or anything like that but i do believe ur car should be running better times? is it auto or manual? (i didnt read it all) |

Yeha, i would be surprised if QLD had the same law about 5.7 been supercharged, they are often strict on things automotive. I will agree that the car should be turning out higher number and better track results, or are you running low boost with the timing retarded and running real rich ?? As thats the only reason i can think, does your exhaust blow smoke, personally, i would go and get it tuned. A guess would be that your ecu is out of its league if its not any of the above reasons. WOuld really love to see this thing screaming away on a dyno tuned properly on a tank of optimax, the thing would probably jump out the rollers, hell, you could be the second person to see over 1000hp atw on a autosaloon dyno

Ahahahaha, you got a Good, fast lil XR8 there, but i recommend ya put some front, rear bumpers and side skirts, jus to make yer car look scary and like a supercar.
Like my car, an HSV GTS. I stuffed in it two bloody turbos and its got a redesigned front bumper, rear bumper and side skirts. It also has a Bonnet scoop and sounds more like a V10 than a bent eight. And i also managed to fit 22" rims on it.
Of course, in reply to TX5_Turbo15, In NSW it is actually legal to supercharge 5.7s or GENIIIs, but in OZ its illegal to...ummm this will sound weird, but to Turbochrage Motorbikes. its possible to do that, but to do that u have 2 take apart almost the engine and to fit and connect the turbo.
P.S:By the way, did you connect the turbos properly?

Illegal to turbocharge motorbikes ???? You do realise that this is only possible to do on four stroke motorbike engines, and supercharging is the only form of forced induction possible on a two stroke, due to gas flow characteristics. Even then it is possible to legally turbocharge motorbikes - there is a street registered turbocharged harley davidson in either vic or nsw (can't remember off top of my head.)
As for your 22 inch rimmed hsv gts, i don't beleive you. the well known street machine FATGTO only had 22 on the back for a reason - they don't fit on the front. And if you have your supposedly have your twin turbo setup, you wouldn't ahve sufficient clearance, due to the new fron inner guards that would be needed to clear wheels that big. Show some proof and ill appologise humbly, otherwise stop wasting peoples time by talking shit.
