Is it possible to replace a camshaft in an XF Falcon with a 250 X-Flow without taking out the engine? ...It's the carby version with an in-block cam. If it's possible, whats the quickest/easiest way I could go about doing this?
Thanks heaps, Bassfreak. |

A friend of mine got this done, you just need to pop the head off it I believe, same as any other car.

It's an 'in-head' cam though, so you can't take it out through the top of the engine. The only way you can take it out is through the front of the engine, ie. by taking off the timing gears/chain and sliding it out through the front.
I just want to know if it will clear the chassis if I take off the bumper and radiator? ...cos I have no idea, and I don't have an engine crane, so I don't wanna get stuck half-way through doing it! lol!
Thanks anyway champ. |
