Hi Guys, Im currently on the lookout for my first car cant wait
been looking into Commodore VN's 3.8L V6 i definetly want a manual, or one with a dead auto
im told that i should look towards 1991 models, as they ironed out all the bugs by then (minus the fuel pump dilemma)
Have you guys got any ideas about what to look for when investigating 2nd hand VN's? Im probabaly going to spend about $5k
Or what are your thoughts about VN's?
Thanks Perrin |

Eyz... i got a VN Commodore calais 1989 3.8 v6 sittin out the back of my house and its auto...you are right to be looking for a 91' model because there were/are so many faults with 89's...finding a manual wont be easy, but changing transmition will cost around 6-10k depends on where you look....the 91 commodore is a great idea for a first car though! good luck searching!
