Okay in the next few weeks I will be conducting tests on N/A car V8 in fact just to show real results it's not EFI but it will show more lilkely real result.
we will be doing cheap as possible mods to show real improvement on a Pollution fitted 308 Holden V8 motor, from intake to exhaust you will see results
most will be down with G-tech then a few runs at the creek along side some other cars as well.
If you have any suggestions or ideas , give me a bell.

WE already know being a pollution model motor it will have the pollution cams and when we do oadd cams you know the real added perfromance benifit.
so from Cold air induction to no air-filter to just a service.

okay services that will bring performance?

You better belive it, Massive performance
We did an oil change first up
So what did is pull against a type R 2 car lengths behind at 160km/h alright

(Type R is not current 2.0L modle but the 1.8L)
Now with the service the Type-R is toast well moastly likely to be neck and neck if not infront the timing and points are changed and advanced
Carby rejetted and corrected.
Intake has been inproved with removal on intake restrictions.

Car will be off to the creek next week Time slip to come soon.

The TYPE R is stock as a rock and is going in for a service soon.
As for HZ it was everything All filters /oil filters coolant we just flushed the radiator and engine and replaced it. We found the fule fitler being not original was causeing a few high rpms problems.
Leads ain't great but fine standard plugs and all. before the creek we will remove the towbar an expected 30KG we may leave the stereo out as we removed it as it didn't work too well.

Well tomorrow our first mods get tested.
we will also do a Octane booster testo n the 3rd run to see does it really work and adjust the timing.
I will be doing temp tests to see how bad the under bonnet heat is, how well is the car cooled and I will also tape the run.

At the Creek 1st week

Unfortunatlly someone forgot the Octane booster (not me)
but it iddin't matter but we were pinging. So we had to retard the timing
as first run it pinged and the driver had to back off, add to that our large burn out (can be seen here http://www.jpmphoto.com.au/Galleries/Off_S...002/index_3.htm ) Which with an air temp of 42 degrees outside and add 48 degress in the car passenger area, Alng with radiator temp of 80 to 90 varying.
Reason I cna't give you 60 foots and everything was Pc's and printer was down so only times we got were on the slip. Iwil lget our best scanned
So our times
first run 16.9 with low 80MPH time MPH says with better gearing we coudl eaisly get 15's
next was 16.8 with higher MPH
then as air temps dropped in to the 30's we ran with out a Burnout /well massive one a 16.3 and 88MPH our best
we did a last run with same time but 87MPH

Our best reaction time was 0.6 which is great.

The last time for the year is 18th at eastern creek
We will be doing the towbar off and air compressor off so a saving of approx 25Kg-35Kg. Along with what we think was killing our car as we know it can run a 15 we felt it first time, was the fact that the rear brakes were grabbing a little and now we reconditioned them. We will se what time we can get.

One thing that we do know is the Creek is slightly up hill. Reaosn we notice some cars get better times at willowbank

Latest Update
things holding us back]
Yes Holding Back we all know things like intercoolers and turbos can hold you back. but how about seized rear brakes seized brakes holding us back

You see we were trying to have a nice smoke but we just could not get it going like it use to.

So Brakes are now machined and calipers rebuilt
Costly but important more then likely holding us back our high 15's second time.

[font=Arial]Next thing is to remove the towbar and compressor hopefully before next creek meeting on the 18th. [/font
