ive talked with Zex now so many times ive memorized their damn phone number, lol. its a go, we are getting the N2O. so far the list includes- The Mazda Wet Kit, Hyperperformance set of four spark plugs, a Bottle pressure guage, a Remote bottle Valve Opener (an absolute must for street racing) a Booster fuel pump kit, with the Ejector Short Ram intake, which i really like. i was going to order from Zex themselves, but the dude i spoke with suggested a purchase from one of their dealers that the prices would be cheaper, so im getting everything from summit racing. i dont really like summit, but i can get the exact same stuff and save 100 bucks. when all is said and done, i will be able to add up to 220 HORSEPOWER!!!!!!! but of course, i cant put all that on my stock engine, therefore, im only going to be aboe to put a 110 shot on, which isnt bad at all! for only 1159 bucks!! then later on down the line if i want to add a larger shot, ill have to do alot of modifying to get the maximum amount of shot. which i doubt will be anytime soon, thoguh i do know ill be able to get the nitro put on in a relative amount of time. im hoping by my birthday, which is May 17th. so thats my current plans. with my current 125 hp, with an additional 110, thatll be a grand total of 235hp!!! i could maybe hang with a thir gen seven! they have 255, it would beat me, but i could hang with it. and i will be able to take a second gen seven, they have 210hp. oh yes cool.gif .

Well the guy i bought my N2O kit off had run a 150HP shot on stock internals for over 2 years with out a rebuild or anything.

Obviously it wa on a 5.7lt Chev motor but the theory still holds. As long as you stick to a realstic shot, get colder-rated plugs, retard your timing adn dont be stupid your car will be fine...

The two things you need to do everything in your power to prevent;

1. Detonation. Duh. This causes damage in any motor, but add the N2O and things can get really messy. This is why you need to get colder plugs and retard timing.

2. Leaning the fuel. Even though your using a wet kit, which is really the only way to go, make sure that new fuel pump and injectors can provide enough fuel to prevnt any damage....

Thats my little piece. Just remember to have fun. Holy crap! N2O is the most awsome feeling in the world. For street use i only run a 75HP shot, and if i hit it at about 20kph, i dont get traction till well into 2nd! Awsome! biggrin.gif

When you keep levels sane
and don't hit it incorrectly

I think personally 50Hp is perfect on a stock motor

Anything more I think one should look at getting something correctly set-uped and tuned

A friend of mine is pushing 2.5psi from a supercharger on his stock KL03 with a dry 50shot

So I don't see a problem with Brandon spraying a wet 75shot.

i think that maybe a 110hp NOS shot on a stock mx6 engine might be a little too much, then i again i dont think the engine is incapable of dealing with the extra power produced but rather if the fuel system will be up to it, as droopz indicates its imparitive that you dont detonate so just make sure who-ever sets it up has a shit load of experience smile.gif

on the other hand i know shit all about NOS laugh.gif
