The vacum reading should occur when the cars idling and from what ive ehard should be around 20 and the boost should basically rise and fall as you accelerate and change gears (basic explaination neways) where have ya got ya line from the guage runnign too??? |

my steering wheel is blue, so i was considering doing my dash in the same blue and colour coding the whole interior. cos this guy i met is going to sell me custom door trims (in the same blue as my wheel) for $250, and i showed the pics to a company that does interiors and they said they would charge at least $1500 for the work, so im gettin a good deal. gonna paint my break calipers blue to match. wadda ya think? do u think the whole blue thing will look any good or not?
cheers |

| im a bit of a dummy with fuel injected cars i dont know much about them but what would happen if i get the turbo injectors for my NA, would i need to tinker with the fuel supply and ecu or just fuel supply or just the ecu, i got hardly any idea about the internals of the injection side of things i know how it works but dont ask me how to modify injected side of things, (like you cant half tell that i used to have a CARBY car) any info will be good thanks |

| mm from what i know fuel supply and ecu...cause ecu controls the speed of your injectors (i think) but you'll also need more fule and stuff...so a bigger fuel pump..its really not a worthwhile mod and wont get you that much performance rise if anything at all..you'll probably end up going backwards. |

Hey, Nice ride, hasn't changed much since i last saw it. Can you do us a favour and tell Chris to hurry up and buy a car. And as for painting dashes and stuff, you'll find that if you sand it back lightly, you can get a far cleaner finish it you put a coat of fibreglass reson over the dash, and block sand it back. Its how interior companys make smooth, glossy dashes. Just be careful if you attempt anything like that though. Mind you, you only go to this length if your dash plastic is textured.

| QUOTE (_ShadowZ @ Mar 9 2005, 07:12 PM) | just to let you know i'll end this as my last post, so dont stress too much! but u started giving him prices on engines and cars, so you where in fact giving him directional pointers. For future referance ask the person how many hp where they would like to see the car go (eg. summernats, drag combat, or just car shows. with shows just tell em to ignore power and make anything and everthing in egine bay shiney. last years PAS a stock RX (not WRX) won the comp cos it looked cool. polished pipes, etc...) then after they tell you then direct them towards making a decision. In most cases (this may not be one of them) the person is just after a rough price to see if its worth doing to there car usually the person would rather save the 5 - 10 grand for a house deposit, (money that makes money). they usually just like pretending they have or are getting, some horsepower. well in future dont suggest something with out knowing all the facts of doing such changes to an engine.
has the xr6t had any problems with the increaced power, my friend did the same and he sold it three weeks after getting it finished, scary thing is he is normally a FORD man but after the sale he went and got a LS1 crewman it now has over 400kw at the treads.
Allright bye, leaving, not writing here unless asked. PEACE OUT YA'LL _ShadowZ | Mate the XR6T can produce more than 390KW plus. Go to http://www.airpowersystems.com.au/falcon/xr6turbo.htm and you will see for your self. I think for the standard motor out of the factory with a few mods thats is pretty good for a inLine 6 cylinder. |

The highest power output acheived for the BA xr6t is 1190hp at the crank, but that will set you back a cool $28,000 (not including suspeniosn and other mods that are necisary)
the only way that you suffer problems with the xr6t when increasing power is if you cut corners, for examply, upping boost but not fitting an oil cooler (very stupid) or upping power, without bulking up the clutch (see the typhoon) and suspenion and brakes (or ignore these if you don't want to go forwards or stop)
