Well since i have a FWD and chasing around 300hp @ wheels i cant help imagine that my main problem will be getting power to the ground.

So what exactly can be done to improve the grip of a FWD in a straight line?

I image so fat front tyres (maybe we could fit some 225's biggrin.gif ) along with some nice shocks will be a great improvement over my current allspring (dont go there!!!) stock shock combo but is this pretty much it?

LSD wouldnt go astray, could take up to half a second off the time which i will definately go for some day down the track...

I don't know about around you, but, the parts stores around me have coil spring blocks. They are rubber blocks that come in a package of 2 (I bought 2 packages) and installed 1package in each rear coil spring. Thus, stiffening the rear end of the car, lessening the "squat" off the line.

It was a real cheap themporary test and it worked.........the total spend $15

Also make sure you don't have a real low profile tire.........this leads to a stiffer side wall (yes even street tire sidewalls give during a launch, to the same effect as a wrinkel wall slick) and the tires are easier to spin with bigger rims.

Tire pressure...................20psi front ......max on back

Practice you need a lot of that

So you can do a lot better with out spending the $$ on suspension till you get the $ for all of it

Yes it's a turbocharged FE3, (soon on the bottle) and NO you can't drive it
WARNING: Does not play well with others (it seems others have a problem with losing)

good advice redneck... reducing the air pressure on the front tyres will give you an imediate gain off your launch as there is actually more rubber in contact with the ground...

obviously thicker and slicker tyres will help also smile.gif

Tx5 unforunately in Oz we dont have any off the shelf option for an LSD, the only thing we can do is get a custom one which will set you back around the 2k mark but if you have a high output mx6 or tx5 will make probably be the most cost effective mods to reduce your times, if its stock then its not really an option tongue.gif

also tx5 did you put in super lows or just kings lows? i think peddlers have some shock's match to the lows that you can buy off the shelf.. if not some custom adjustable koni's (damping not height) will definately be the way to go wink.gif
