Oil catch cans are a matter of preference really..they do help protect the engine and turbo by reducing blow by but as numerous peopel say there's not point getting one and putting it on a 10+ year old turbo and engine anyways as the damage has already rpoabbly be done..if you've recently undergone a rebuild etc.. I would recommend..thats why I got it (still havent fitted it yet) cause I got a rebuilt turbo. Its a revolution racegear catch can if ya gonna get one go for the 1lt not the 2 im having trouble finding a spot for this one...
with the cooler i ended up buying one alst night 600x250x75mm with 2inch openings at this stage without too much investigation im goin to have to lose my air con fan, cut a small portion (the front and inside) of the bar but it shoudl fit okay with having to remove too much...Hopefully...I will post pics anyways so you all know. |

hey zorb the catch can might fit on the right hand strut tower, have a look at TRBOMX profile for a look see
also depending on the setup of the cooler you might have to lose the air con altogether unless you have the turbo-intercooler pipe run underneith the cooler and then into the right hand side. |

well I have it, am currently working on how Im going to route piping etc at the moment hopefully will be on by end of the month..been busy installing a few other gadgets...finally put the super lows in, instaleld my volt gauge, installed the strut bar and made up a temporary box for my 15inch sub......also Ive started detailing the engine bay...
Plans for the cooler so far: are polish all the cooler, work out the routes for the piping, get the piping made up and powder coated red, piping will be probably 2.5inch thick and will be mild steel. |

| MAte I can give you a whole stack of info on it...If you pm me with an email address I will send you the ful fact sheet which he gave to me. Unfortunatly I dont have it in ym car cause my ecu has no external eprom... (only certain ecu's can get woo's mod). But from what I've heard its worth every cent and does a great job... |

| do ya know where your ecu is situated? If ya dont on the passanger floor near the centre there is a palstic part of the dash (triangle) shape with a few liek pin things in it (use ya finger to remove them) behind that is you ecu there should be a number written on top of it soemthing like f2h3 etc... theres a list of which ones can and cant be used in the info I gave you. |
