Yes ive done it again, last night i had my 3rd duel with an Integra Type-R. Now I was led to believe and obviously thought i would of been obliverated each time but quite the contrary out of 3 different type-r integra's ive raced ive never been beaten
My mate had one for about 1 month before it got stolen in front of his house(never to be recovered ) we raced i won admittedly he was abit hesitant to thrash it as he claims "im not used to the power yet man"
second one was a fairly decent drag from the lights up to about 100ks i was just a nose ahead before i had to break coz of traffic, the other car had 1 or 2 extra passengers than me(not exactly sure) so again not a great fair battle
and last night i was driving along side one and everytime we hit it i would be ahead if not head to head.
Now I must admit if i were in those Integra's i no doubt believe I would chop any vti-r civic, these guys must'nt know how to drive or else honda's little underdog civic VTi-R is really there little sleeper
Anyone else seen a Civic VTi-R Vs Integra Type-R head to head?, pls tell me how hard the Integra pulled away

1998 Honda Civic DX HB MT 2339lbs

Judging by those figures i would bet on the civic, not sure if thats the australian delivered integra engine tho, i recall the aussie integras having 144kws so i suppose that makes sense |

Those things go I know one guy who beat a 200Sx full of mods up to 160km/h ! reason He could drive it the 200SX got bad start keeped dumping it and the rear keep out. Type R and like most High power band cars need a good driver. To keep them at there best. Of course being manual means it's in consistant. I can take one just form 0-400 with out stall on the move I get 3 car lengths and hold up to 140 but he gains but still struggles untill above 170km/h to Pass me I don't have top end Auto takes it up. I have raced a VTi-R manual each time was different I still one but he had many different runs one he said he missed gear I know one he stuff the start lost all revs one he spun. But Like I always say, it's 90% driver 10% car Wining is wining you can't perform a the right moment you are lunch.

i've only ran one vtir which unfortunately beat me, as soon as we both planted my rev's went up to 5000, shifted into 4th and it bogged down big time to well below the power band.... unfortunately my clutch has been up to shit for some time and i havent had the funds to do anything about it |

your car goes amazingly hard since its stock... damn vtecs... if you put a turbo on that thing it would be all over too bad you have to competely balance and reinforce the engine to handle boost muahahahah |

you guys have Manuals to get away I hate racing in the wet, or in the dry My car is on or Off end of story you go hard or go home. It's so hard to control, and because of the bigger higher gears it does not get moving untill late 2nd and 3rd gears. I lost once to a excel in the wet I was spining every time I tryed to get moving. But I did nave slicks yep slicks in the wet 1mm of tread on both ends too. Funny too because Once I was up next to this Guy from High school who had a big mouth about his /Dad's Vt but the fact that nobody would ever drag me even in the Wagon. They thought after smoking up full big lockup out side school I was nuts go awards as well. He raced me when he knew could get no traction but in the dry he just took of normal. No Fun But them V-tec's the worse thing is I know someone adding a turbo to a Civic VTi-R I thought it screamed when it was lightly modded. Lucky for me I get to try out the car before he does, Lost his licence reason for the rebuild and turbo.
