Just wondering what if anything you guys have done engine management wise? Mines stock at the moment in that respect.

Got a chiptorque chip to lift the boost cut, first gens cut out at 11.999 and the only way around it is to either chip it, after market ecu or fuk around with the vaf so the computer doesnt realise wtf is going on 
Seriously though there is no need to do any modz on the ecu unless you've done some serious modz and your mixtures are playing up.. ie cams, head-work.. stuff like exhaust, extractors really wont net any worth while gains with a chip... your car will run better and be tuned with advanced timing and higher octane but really its not worth it if thats all you have.. imho anywayz |

u talking about the whole ecu self learning issue how it de-tunes the setup after a while? |

| I tryin to figure out if my laptop (pentium 1) will be check to use for my car's EMS, do you need to have a powerful computer or just any laptop? |

i am no fan of any chips at all, well basically anything that piggy backs ...
best experiences are with standalone units
upgraded from STD ecu to XR6 ecu ... good move, upgraded to chiptorque chip with XR6 ecu, bad move, downgraded to standalone XR6 ecu, good move
best move: get rid of ecu
