I know that there is a fair bit of money under all those bonnets out there. I was at the wreckers getting a different Grille for the front (AT2), anyway the grille i wanted was trapped behind the bonnet and the bonnet cable was pinched in the wreck somewhere (right hand side damage). I wanted THAT grille and found a way to pop the bonnet by reaching up in behind the bumper to just above the thermo fan, felt for the bonnet wire and yanked on it. It released the bonnet and i got my grille, then i thought that if i could do it in a wreckers someone could do it on the street. I tried it on my car and it worked again.
So im going to find a way to stop that cable from being pulled and i will let you all know how to fix this fault. |

| Welcome to the board. That is a bit of a pain in the behind if the bonnet can be opened like that. How much did you pay for the grill? |

the best way to prevent the bonnet being opened the way i did at the wreckers is to place the bonnet release cable behind the thermo fan bracket i paid twenty five for the grille should check it out in the profile It looks stock but its better than the granny grille that i had on there before. |
