Yeah, I'm from Townsville. And yes, you probably did see it at Ingham.
The pics were taken on Stuart

So you have extractors on a turbo, and also got your computer chipped, and then got the original computer tuned as well? Right.. |

| You got that right this guy is a tool. You can't put a chip in the Ford eecv, even if it is a "racing chip", whatever the fuk that is. The ecu has to be remapped. I guess he's thinking of the old Delco unit from the commodores. Oh yeah and you can get extractors for turbo cars, but the gain is less than in aspirated cars so it wouldn't be on the top of the list of mods unless you've got more money than sense. |

| Actually your wrong thier cause my old mans xr6turbo was chipped you can put a chip in the new BA's but you still have to run the standard computer aswell. this is because the stndard comp runs all the warnmings and safety system etc.. etc.. but it is possible to be chipped it cost my old man 650 bucks though but ive forgotten where it was done I will find out for you's though. Although after chipping the car we found out it was cheaper to get a second aftermarket ecu and piggyback this off the original so that the factory ecu still kept safety features but the new comp was able to increase power. |

Alrite, we have someone that can read a herrod's ad in a car magazine saying that they have packages catering up to 320kw. As for the extractors thing, there is really no such thing as extractors for a turbo car. The equivelant is a tuned length manifold, in which each pipe leading off the side of the block from the exhaust port is the same length from each cylinder to the turbos compressoer housing. The reason for this is it is meant to provide a more prodictable and linear gas flow to the turbo. As for chipping a BA falcons ecu, although im not sure, it would be more likely it is chipped than re mapped, as most modern ecu's don't allow it. You could run an aftermarket ecu, and like mentioned above, the original needs to be retianed to allow things like airbags and the like to remain functional.
