Well, I went just to watch. Ended up a friends miata was whipping everyone he raced by the time he got into 2nd gear 
I have never raced him so I don't know how it would go.
When he got out of the car he told me he wanted to race in my car, he says "I don't want to race your car, I just want to be in it when you race" I told him I wasn't racing cause I already got the one ticket for it and if I so much as get another ticket in the next 2 years I won't be allowed to drive anymore.
And on the way for more races we happen to catch a red light together  I ran 9psi and the rwd vs fwd battle was good, but I pulled through 1st by about a 1/2 car
I hit 2nd and left him........3rd? well I only went to 4k in 3rd cause I was gone
To add to this I had a passenger in my car...and the miata only had him, and he is gutted with just 2 race seats with 5pt harnesses and jsut installed a posi rearend
Guess it's a good thing I didn't race all those other people or they would have just been sad that they even brought their cars out that night

yeah it's kind of funny but
I went with friends about 1 month ago to finish off some loud mouths.
Lets jsut say they thoguht they could beat a V8 350 GEN3 with there little SS conversion I knew it was quick but I knew the 8 was quicker.
Amazing how many backed out or race him first or this and that.
After killing his life it was well my clutch is old and slipping ?? really

is the miata a newish name for the make mazda or is it specifically what we know here as the mx5 (small mazda convertable) 
in any event a great kill for a ahem... mx6 
what i hate is guys that dont wish to run becoz they think they wont win, imho these type of people are the ones who just cant stop talking about how quick their car is, if they didnt talk it up so much then maybe they wouldnt have an issue with losing a run. Its all in good fun and your only as good as your opponent on the day so whats the big deal?  Not really the best benchmark but it certainly gives you an idea of where your car is and how much further u might need/want to go.
ofcourse if you dont wanna run for other reasons then thats perfectly ok

yes the mx5....I will take a pic of his car today and post it up for you guys......I just gave him my stock turbo, injectors, and ic......now we just got to install it
