Hey guys, just put a deposit on a FMIC for the mx6, cant wait till it gets here, should have in within a couple of weeks biggrin.gif

It's a lil on the big side 800mm x 600mm x 76mm but its nice and thin so airflow to the radiator isnt going to be restricted too much but unfortunately since its bar and plate there will be still a pressure drop but still heaps better than the stocker thats for sure.

Unfortunately the vf22 doesnt like pressures above 18psi so i'll probably be limited to around 16 - 17psi assuming there is a 1 - 2 psi drop across the core at that pressure, anywayz cant wait till it goes on.. heres some pics... cool.gif

This one is on an MX6 so it should fit ohmy.gif

Should be good bro
Don't worry too much about the B&P core I think personally they are better then T&F for over all cooling and you can have them smaller, it's trick used in Production car racing when you can't increase Intercooler size ETC they change it to a B&P for more controled temps through a race.

I'm planing on WAter -air if I have to change my factory one.

You going to keep your front bar? or not bro

no way i'll fit it in eh, only girls say that sort of stuff icon4.gif

thats the plan rod, its going to be tight as but im pretty sure it'll fit, looking at how julians sits there will definately be enough room just have to chop the connecting bits at the bottom of the bumper.. the main problem will be the piping of course...

im hoping to feed a 2inch pipe under the drivers side light (need to bash some metal for sure) and some how get it thru those air con hosing, might need to chop and relpace tho... just have to wait and see i suppose. Otherwise its going to have to be routed to the other side to where to stock inlets are..

well you knwo how I do my business Bro

Rod does Greek sylte CASH only and face to face HA HA

Looks good but, I suggest even when fitting it's time to place carboard on it's faces. most damage happens when trial fitting and meassuring.

A little adicee dont cut any air-con pipe, unless really have to. Friend had to get custom rubber hoses and it cost him another $400 on top just for the hose because of size and pressure, being the right stuff.

talking ot a mate of mine he said your Vf 22 shoudl take easy 20psi at manifold with a 5psi pressure dorp it's what he ran his WRX on with water spray on intercooler it was factory top mount on a My96.

yeah i was having my doubts, especially when they asked for the remaining $300 bucks but then i saw their ad in hot 4's so figured it was legit enough to pay in full

as you can tell a few fins are already bent, i've straightened them out and placed cardboard.. now just have to source some pvc piping so i can come up with a design.. might squeeze in some rubber tubing thro the left headlight and passed the air con hoses like droopz suggested.. see how it goes...

MRT dudes seem to think that the compressor blades start falling off at 18psi... no idea how efficient their stocky top mounts are tho so there could be a bit more in her.. cool.gif
