From discussion started HERE about a RWD Sierra Cosworth...
I did some research, and yeah it's true there is such a thing as a RWD cossie, it was released as a Ford Sapphire Cosworth and was based on the Sapphire Sierra at the time... It was produced up until 1990, when the AWD replaced it...
The only discrepency we have now is that the cossie in question looks identical to the one below only RED, but it says they were only released in White and Grey.... Go figure, he must have had it resprayed... or it's not a sapphire and i did all this research for nothing!!!!
...............................................................................................................................
Ford Sierra Sapphire Cosworth 2WD

The vehicle was available in both RHD (Right Hand Drive) for the UK market, and LHD (Left Hand Drive) for Europe.
The Engine The Cosworth engine was based on the Sierra 3 door Cosworth unit.
The Cosworth engine was coloured red to indicate it could be run on Four Star leaded petrol. Fuel injection used Weber/Marelli equipment.
All Cosworth engines are fitted with hardened valve seat inserts and can therefore run continuously on unleaded fuel. With ordinary unleaded petrol it is necessary to retard the ignition by 4 Degrees. A power loss of approximately 10 bhp will be experienced after the ignition is retarded. Retarding the ignition may not be necessary if the engine is always run on Super unleaded fuel.
Brakes Front brakes where four pot items on vented disks. Rear braking was also via disks.
Body Work and Interior Some complaints were heard on the release of this new shape Sapphire Cosworth that the dashboard was particularly bland. For such a high performance engine only minimal instrumentation was fitted.
Front Recaro bucket seats, with adjustable head restraints were used.
Tilt and Slide FFSR (Factory Fitted Sun Roof), Electric windows and mirrors, Central Locking, and Tinted Glass, were all standard equipment.
Available colours where:
White Graphite Grey
The Sierra Sapphire Cosworth had colour coded front spoiler, side skirts and rear boot mounted spoiler.
