I am looking to upgrade one of my Rodeo's to a sedan when I move to Tas. The current contenders are a TJ Magna sports (5 speed) and a VT SS (5 speed)
Took the 5.0l VT for a spin on Saturday and was impressed. I still think the Magna was quicker off the mark though. As I am also buying a boat when I move, I am leaning towards the rear wheel drive dunny-door.
Mitub ppl tell me their parts are cheaper then Holden's, holden tell me their parts are cheaper... Any1 able to offer advice on this would be appreciated. |

Definatly go the VTSS dude. Better car in about every way.
And ALOT more torque for towing your mid-life crisis
Plus when you get sick of the floater and want to go fast on land the VTSS will mod-up much cheapr and faster.

Magnas... pffft yeah there ok! Good everyday cars! As far as towing goes, well your gonna need the torque, so go the VT! The last of the 5litres, and a v.good one at that!
Off the line, yeah it will be quicker... FWD normally are but it only lasts a second or so lol
I'd Say both have pretty cheap stock and spare parts.... But if you want to uprade your magna, thats when it gets pricey and Holden storm ahead! you don't need a lot of Dollars to mod a Holden, but you need a gold mine to mod a Magna to the same standards!.....
Hope this helps....

Just confirmed my thoughts, thanks guys. Had pretty much decided on the VT. AM getting a VN Calais tomorrow (I think) to tide me over until then hehe. Pity it is only a 3.8 but at least it is a 5 speed |

Thanks guys.
Got me a 5 speed Calais Goes nice too. Good fun. Sure makes the 1 1/2 hr trip to work each morning a bit more fun than the diesel 4X4 hehe
Who knows I may even keep the VN when I go to Tas, it has been well kept so may be worth spending some money on in future... |
