Just heard that they want to stop learners and P platers from driving with passengers or more than 1. To stop so many people getting killed. I think its a good idea. Might help. What do you reckon?

Look In my opinion it's good and bad but Hey I say it all comes down to attitude
some people have a bad attitude to driving.
I admit my attitude is not the best all the time. But it is always for the saftey of me and my car and any passengers
I know why this come about because recently
There have been in last 3 years a number of deaths due to having people riding in the boots of cars
A VW GOLF was all over the news because it was over loaded. Look at the situation Wet weather Large number of young Teens in a car over loaded by 2 or 3 I think. Shocking What really shut the statistics up was that the driver and most passengers were FEMALE yes the ones who don't do anything wrong but of course this has been changing. I coudl go on to say it's because they think they are so great
EG to Much money, YES MONEY why because I am a girl and mum and dad with fix everything.
Of course how is this different well let me tell you a YOung guy living in souther Sydney how has spent alot of his and parents (lets not say don't contribute) but I know alot of guys who would rather keep there rides in one peice then smash them or loose LICENCE due to stupid acts, Of course they do Preffer to loose do you too speding ETC, they see it different.
I'm often seing Very young New drivers both Sexes and Distinct groups acting very stupid.
The worse part is more and more doing it under the influence of friends and the best money maker in Bankstown DRUGS. It's more comon, even though lots would say not.
More and more of the Car LOVER or Ethousist and CLub member are being mistake by the I want to be in crowd.
Yes the in Crowd thinks Bodykits Exhuast flashing LEDS is the thing. They might not go to Illigal and legal racing, or know anythign about cars but jsut having the in car thing. Is for them.
New cars from dealer ships will look like the KIA RIO sti and VR-X Lancer becuase it's the in thing.
It leads to more stupidness & bad acts.
To me it goes as far back as in 5th and 6th grade. Today's young kids are given so many rights (if you want to call it that) Lots have dirtty Mouths (worse then yours or mine at that age) This goes on to high school and it's no surprise to find teachers unde higher stress, Lack of disapline
This leads to more RAPED girls , more drug affect (even though educated against it) young teens
Next after that It's driving RESPECT ATTITUDE =NONE bad drivers
Just today some young guy tried to stop a bussy road in the middle of Parramatta by putting his hand out, I never slowed down, I was tempted to tell him off, But you see last time I did that, It was worse off for me. Give that boy 1 year or even now he can drive with you and me.
Hooning has been around for ages back ot 50's to 70's to 80's but of course in thoses days less people on the road less often toruble it's different world now and attitudes have changed.
The LAW can tighten it's grip,[ they now make it illigal to carry anyone in the boot of your car]
But for my My Opinion it starts at home with disipline = EG hit the kid, I was hit and i'm almost perfect, every one I asociate was tought disipline now of this,
Student in Kindergarden saying to the teacher "You can't touch me I will sue you "
SOrry to the US guys but you TV is fine for most but some of it really is CRAP [remove "C" and you get RAP]
I love RAP but why is it that Eminem is listen too by 7 and 8 year olds 
Eminem made it clear in one of his Video clips about what I'm talking about.
But can you blame Single mothers or Society or What ?
Think about it first ?
next time you meet some young kids in a group who don't know you and see how they react To you ?

i dunno.. i mean they are imposing this 1 passenger per P plater in an attempt to reduce the number of fatalities which occur in accidents which involve P platers... it just doesnt make sense especially when you consider there are going to be twice as many p platers on the road now 
also rod i agree with you, there has been a consistent active interest in the modified car scene since even back in the 50's or as the media like to refer to it, "hooning"... we are most certainly on the receiving end of alot of bullshit just because we enjoy keeping our car's in their best possible condition.
As far as fatalities are concerned i still dont believe that hooning, be it speeding or driving irresponsibly, is the main contributor, by far the majority or deaths are caused by people simply falling asleep at the wheel on mainly long distance travels. I appauled the stop revive survive campaign's which have been saving lives for years but all this bullshit hoon hype is just the result of commerical profiteering by stupid shows like today tonight which are just trying to score the biggest ratings... and do they ever... |
