Anyone looking to add a little eye appeal under the hood? I am currently trying to convince an owner of a new mazdaspeed protege to give me his heat shield. Looks much better than the stocker, and has mazdaspeed pressed into it from the back side so that when you mount it the letters are raised.

Just a thought for everyone

Yes it's a turbocharged FE3, (soon on the bottle) and NO you can't drive it

jesus.. ehhh.. i thought maybe coz its a mazdaspeed version it might have some form of forced induction or something rolleyes.gif

btw some heatwrap looks pretty good if you dont have some of form of insulation or coating on the exhaust manifold, works great in keeping under bonnet temps down...

another thing worth considering if you even get your rocket cover pulled off for whateva reason, some hpc coating looks great, have a look at this awesome bay!

Damn, that is a nice bay.

Those number's were for the regular protege's not a mazdaspeed. I don't think I read what you wrote correctly when I posted the stats

After I read this post I was at the Mazda dealer picking up an oil filter and they had a Mazdaspeed Protege there with the hood up. The heat shield is very nice indeed, however it's a bit larger and shaped differently than ours (F2t). Not sure how it would work on an FE but it looked like it would take some work (drilling, cutting & bending) to get it to look good on the F2t.
