ok i was sittin in traffic on the way to work the other mornin when i see this lunatic in the oncoming traffic flying down victoria rd over the gladesville bridge doin about 100, im thinkin to myself wat a freak as the trafic is at a standstill in front of him anyway sure enough he drives straight into the back of the stopped traffic at full speed without hitting the brakes. I pull onto the middle strip run over to try and help the people, i go firstly to his car(wats left of it anyway) i see him inside trapped, he wasnt wearin a seatbelt and his head had smashed the windscreen and he was wedged behind the steering wheel along with the rest of the front end of the car,, this guy was fukd im tellin ya he was pissin blood everywhere and would'nt even respond to me talkin to him to see if he was ok, he was still alive coz he was moanin a little, so me and a couple other ppl were tryin to keep him from bleeding to death before the ambulance got there...as this was happenin i checked out the aftermarth and there ended up bein 6 cars in the accident, the force of his hit had forced the 5 cars in front of him to fully slam into each other, the lady in the car infront of his was bleeding badly from the neck/face but she was ok..she even got out and walked around, i helped her out as much as i could, shit her car was worse than the guy's at fault as hers copped the whole hit from behind and infront..all that was left of the car was the front passenger/driver area, the front and back were crumpled all the way into the front seats, and if it wasnt for her airbags I think she would of been as bad as the first dude, the other 4 cars were pretty badd too but noone else was injured...
I stuck around till the ambulance got there and then i took of as i was late as to work...i was pretty shaken up about what i'd seen for a few hours thats for sure....after i got home i called the cops to give a statement and the cop told me the first guy was in a serious condition in hospital with bad head injuries and the lady in the 2nd car was rushed to hospital as well...i told them wat i saw as i had a bird's eye view.. i was like the guy must of fallen aslepp or somethin(either that or he was tryin to commit suicide..or on some pretty wacky drugs) and they were like yeah it was very strange as there were no skid mark's or anything...

freaky stuff can you imagine driving around 100ks into the back of a stopped car...ouch

Holy Shit

I once slept at the wheel but nothing really ever happened
that is if he slept at the wheel !

its sad to think he would bring misery to others lives just to end his own
if that was the case

Sad isnt it wink.gif

yeah man we have all experienced microsleeps... its very scary stuff.. if you dont manage to wake yourself up quick enough then the first thing you hit will... usually by then tho its too late to do anything...

top stuff man in rushing over and helping the guy out... hmmm those ambo 1 day course might come in handy in situations like that.. farken it should be mandatory for all year 12 students... how many lives would it save

I have never had a micro sleep but that's more likely because I sleep 12 hours a day. It's a sad one and I hate the idea of getting hit from behind Compo is nice but the pain, I have been hit from behind I don't know how many times from drunk and druggged out guys, I know one guy hit us we in a Numbered car but it didn't matter but the airbags didn't go off we had to make them go off, but the guy died by the time Ambos got to picnic point we couldn't do anything for the guy we was trapped looked dead but Just think how lucky you are he didn't hit you from behind.

Tasty Man you have to be looking at the best result and if it's Compo it's compo
I mean if I know how much I could have gotten at school for all the broken fingers and cuts in the metal workshop I would have GT-R on 25psi right now.
Always look on the bright side of life. Always look at another reaosn always try to get away and in the end 'It wasn't me" the amount of time I have told my neighbours and Cops that dry.gif rolleyes.gif laugh.gif biggrin.gif
