Well I have not but I do plan to add some to my car. You wil find if you get the SAAS seats you will need there rails THe Mazda rails are part of the seat in a way which makes them impossible to use on another seat or other car. they are rivited/spot welded

yeah i believe you would have to get their "universal rails", i plan on getting a couple of SAAS seats up the front as the drivers side is pretty badly torn in one area. They actually have a very suitable model (nfi on the number) but it almost likes identical to the factory steats just a little dark and different fabric, even the pattern design is very similiar, if i buy/install them soon ill keep you posted |

ok as this topic has come up already maybe u guys can help me out a little here
I am looking for a set of 2nd hand bucket seats, such as CRx ones, or just some which look nice and are more bucket than the ones i got (i hate hanging onto my window while going a round a corner ). The fabric can be damaged, torn stuffed, whatever ... i wanna get it retrimed in the fabric of my car anyway ... can someone point out a place where i can get 2nd hand ones from and who would recline them for me as well? Townsville sux as for that matter, so i dont mind getting em send up from down south or wherever.
My budget is like this
200 - 250 for a pair of 2nd hand seats (as i can get new ones for around 180 ) as i said comfy, bucket, but not redicolous
another 400 - 450 for reclining in Au Falcon (grey style fabric)
BTW gotta suit AU falcon rails
Cheers Mic

the mx6 driver seat is what you call bucket... you feel really strapped in dunno if it will suit your purpose but have you considered cordia turbo seats? nothing good in standard trim but i know of someone who got the retrimmed and they came out pretty damn good and since they are recaro's (?) you could put the label on without feeling guilty
Evil, i've never had any interior work done, but cant you retrim the stock ones, cant they put in more cushioning to make the seat exactly how you want? |

I recommend if you paln on recovering the seats you get something you know will fit. I would like HSV senator seats but too big. Remember when recovering you cna rebolster the seats a fair bit to your style. I have sat in quite a few rebolsstered seats and have to say I never knew how good some seats could be.
I recomend going to a wreaker and just trying seats.
Seats of surprise
Prelude 92-93 need more foam but do make good seat 2nd gen Mx-6 seat leather is okay but when you redo them and get rid of that cloth Bolster them and you find a seat almost if not better then a stock WRX seat WRX seats hard expensive XR-6/8 seats good for the big man Same goes for Holden seats (stay away from OPAL import seats) Toyota is the forgotten seat why becuase they are plain but look at some lexus and Celica and supra seats and top of the range luxury oferings as they have heaps of adjustment for factory seats. Mazda's Eunos and mid 80's cars have more adjustments on them but you will find alot failed in there time others didn't, but most of the plastics didn't last unless kept well.
THE PICK of seats with out being Bias for redoing is the 1983-86 model Mazda 626 Top of the range Super deluxe seat. Height adjustment side bolster adjustment front and rear seat base tilt position adjustment, and so far most of the adjustments on these 17-20year old seats still work. I have seen these retrimmed and the plastics redone and they look smashing agreat seat for just about any small to mid sized car.

if they are Stock AU seats yes do so, but you don't like them by all means go to some thing else. I suggest always finding what you like in a seat and then making it part of your seat. Eg I like side support and a strong back others like women like there bottom to be held (don't I know it) Big men don't like tight seats because our FAT LEGS SQUASH our FAT BALLS (under stand you japs not all of us are small and thing) I ma glad I only have Fat legs, if I had over size balls it would make getting in and out of a my friends type R hard.
But maybe you should look at XR-8 or even the new FPV range or older TE series of cars and there seats.
