 Just called xbox to see if i can get my xbox repaired!! It's pretty much had it now, since it won't play any game! and freezes all the time.
Anywho basically my warranty ran out in September last year  - Just my Luck! So the going rate for repairs is $199 Flat Rate, so basically what ever the problem from a $2 lens to a Hard Drive it cost $199... Plus i have to send the xbox to sydney, so thats probably another $10 bucks or so to get it there.. so we are talkin over $200 to get it fixed... Is that a bit excesive!?
this service is guarenteed! however they can't guarentee that my memory will be intact cos they might have to replace the hard drive! So Basically if they can't fix it they will send you a new one!
For around $300 i can get a new xbox with games and controllers.... that surely puts the actual xbox price down i the 100s.... 
anyways..... i think i'll just buy a second hand one.... and sell my brocken one to Cash Converters and hope they don't notice! lol  .... i'll just have to start every game again

fuk man.. that sux
have you tried pulling the thing apart and playing around with it i alwayz thought it was like a regular PC pretty much, probably just overheating in that hot weather...
what happens when you try an load a dvd? |
