1tina: ok, simple qustion here: how low it too low? (or what the legal height?)
SikXC: depends what state you live in to what the laws are on the legal height of a lowered vehicle. Best to check with the police or go directly to the department of transport and ask them.
you may find it on the net also.
tinav8: It is 100mm from the lowest point on the car excluding wheel rims or brakes backing plates in all states, except when specified as less by the manufacturer......but check with DOT if you think I'm wrong. Oh and the suspension travel in the bump or rebound mode should not be altered by more than 1/3 of that specified by the manufacturer.
There's no sweeter sound than that of a Ford piston going up and down.
1tina: hrmmmm, ok, I thought it was the same for all states? didnt they bring in some sort of thing sayin that all state road laws are the same now?
Ferryman: Only the laws they make money on...
EvilChief: yes 100mm is the legal in most states (lets say it i am not aware of a state where it is not 100mm). The general rule is if u can fit a coke can under your car you will be fine. Also cops tend to check only on visible parts, such as Bodykit, chassy etc and not worry about suspension travel etc.
-------------------- WHOHOO ... got my opens today ... as much as it would matter to me anyway ... and 96 in the ash tray! |
