much of a power differencs??
Just think of your pull on the F2T from 2500 rpm to 4500rpm......that's a real nice hard pull huh? I thought it was on mine. Now with the FE3 turboed imagine that same pull, starting and not ending till you let off the gas.to shift at 7000rpm.....and that's with stock turbo, ic, and piping.........I can't wait till I change just the ic and piping, let alone the turbo

looks bloody fantastic redneck!
end bay i imagine would get bloody hot with that manifold completely naked, maybe a heat sheild or some heat wrap/hpc coating will improve some performance, it did a shit load on mine since the damn thing was heating the intake air coming directly from the compressor
with the stockie turbo (F2T) on the FE3 are you finding that it takes a lil longer to come on boost due to the shorter stroke/capacity? and its still pulling till 7000rpm ?? mine would die at around 5k on the F2T |

Yeah I need to coat or wrap the header......just haven't had time to go get anything for it...
As far as the turbo spool up.....makes 5psi at less than 2k and makes 12psi by 2500
YES it pulls all the way to 7k rpm.......not a problem
AS I have stated before it is the F2T head plain and simple ever seen a dyno plot for a bone stock as it would come from the factory, F2T powered 6? It looks like an upside down V, the head just doesn't flow, my only problem right now is the heat I am getting......I will be wraping the manifold and then replacing the ic within the next month along with putting in all new 2 1/4" ic piping, and if I don't have the $$ for the MX6-R front clip I will just cut my stock front so that the ic will get some air across it......I think it would help with the stock ic but I don't want to cut up my car when I will be moving the ic location

I use to think that the stock turbo was the limiting factor at high rpm on the F2T, as generally a small turbo (and the ihi rb5 is small ) will cause this. Unfortunately with my turbo upgrade i have to agree with your red, the 6 is no-where as responsive at 5 - 6k when compared to 4 - 5k which definately indicates some sort of flow restriction. The F2T not being any technological marvel esp when it comes to head design can most certainly be improved, the main advantage of the fe3 would be its superior head flow but im sure with some larger valves and porting the f2t head can be improved quite a bit, obviously a very beneficial mod for someone in my position |

yes it would be very beneficial, but you may not be able to get that much more out of the valves being as they are already extremely close to each other
