and honestly if you threw 2500 into a vn ya wouldnt get taht much look at soem of the prices goin around here you'd rpobbaly get a set of extractors, full exhuast including hi flow cat and maybe a chip...you'd still eb approx even with me as I said above my mate ahs spent well over that closer to 6granbd all on eprformance crap and its still even with me...ohh and top speed shits is bull crap when do you use top speed? not even on a race track does a car usually reach its top spped the straights arent long enough, drag strips aren't long enough and on a road if ay reaching top speed 200+ your a fuckin idiot...this is where a bigger engine means more power I mean unless ya doing say 150k's+ ya probably wouldnt begin to catch up (rough estimate of course)......

oh ok i thought you meant that your car (alone) cost six grand.

"price my car cost 6,000 ya can buy a half decent vn for 4,000" that was the quote, sorry there was a misunderstanding there, i apologise for that. i just had a look at some pics of your car, hey its the best one ive seen before.

anyway i can see this argument is going nowhere, im just surprised that after all that your pulling 110-130 kW at the wheels. if i put some roller rockers and a full exhaust system, i wonder how close to that id be ( im not saying id be close, but that would be interesting)

sorry I meant I spent 6 grands on the car but included in thsi price so minus off any cost you may think was : a full year of rego (its was paid the day before I got the car), a HKS turbo timer approx 200 at the time, A full stereo including PAnasonic Headunit, 2 amps, and PIoneer 6x9's and Splits. So since then I ahve spent a further spprox 5 grand modding it...so take off al the extra shit I paid for and we'll say the car's worht say 5 grand alone by itself a vn cost 4 u say spenidng a grand on a vn would get you an exhaust not much else. the cars woudls till be relatively even given the fact that and exhaust rpovides roughly and extra 4-8kw's of power (one again approx.) 110-130kw's is not what im pullign I would suggest im getting soemthing near sabs figure of 110ish. After we'll even say to be conservative spending 1500 on actual performance mods. How much would those mods you listed cost to put on??? and yes ya may well be close

my dads cars awesome I love the v8 and with 220kws ya cant go wrong...he used to have an xr6 turbo so im hetehr from the turbo to the v8 is an upgrade or dwongrade....

and look mate vns' are great cars fopr what they were originally designed for (being a family car). ive got no problem with them and they go relatively quick with a few mdos good luck with yours. and if ya ever in MElb. i'd be happy to catch up with ay and show ya my car.

as for pricing, roller rockers cost $500. roughly 1000 (probably just over if i go for a Lukey/Pacie setup) so yeah it would be decent.

i have to say that im surprised your friend isnt pulling more than that, having said that Dyno's dont lie.

so what are you planning for your car?

oh yeah btw, i might in Melb around December, so you can show me your car. however ill be comin down in my friends car most probably (vn SS supercharged) so you can have a look at a better version of my car icon4.gif

oh yeah also i heard the xr6 turbos are quicker than the xr8's if you make a comp chip change.

Yeah u too *lol* fwkw's I believe for sabbai's ya ahve to remmber thers a close to 20kws drop between engine kw's and wheel kw's on the dyno and stuff...planned for my car are a t3 turbo, big FMIC, aftermarket ecu and slotted rotors.

my mates car had that ive seen the figures it was a beast of a vn too...

but eyah whats your plans.
