sounds great, unlimited downloads at that price!
how much more is the 512 plan?
im so sick of my dialup account to, planning to change when this contract expires, believe it or not it will actually be cheaper for us considering we have 2 isps and an extra telephone line ( 2 x 30 + 1 X 20 = $80 a month ) not to mention all the cash spent on phone calls
let us know how the service is, how long has it been since you signed up? |

I nearly signed up with their 512 plan but they jacked up the price from 79.95 to 99.95 for unlimited . 129$ set up fee plus choice of modem. ie I got the usb modem. Cost 10$. Just signed up. Should be up and running in 2 to 3 weeks according to tpg. 30meg webspace and 20 email addresses available. I heard mixed things about tpg but at that price, its pretty good. Only 6 month contract too. So if something better comes up I dont have to long to wait

Hey all Finally have the adsl up. Tpg were pretty much spot on in their 15-18 day waiting period. On me laptop at the moment. For some reason my PC shat itself when I tried hooking the ADSL up. Might need to load XP onto it and see how it goes. Have XP on the laptop and the process was so easy. Im one happy chap now:) no more dialup

The pings arnt to good in the afternoons sometimes But its better during the day. Still a lot better than dialup. Look here for more info on TPG. Also theres a main forum with other providers. http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-threads.cfm?f=90
Mainly got it for the free modem and unlimited downloads. Far as I know 256k/64k is still 69.95 a month.

so they are odin, thanks for the info... i've been mainly checking out the whirlpool.net.au forums for feedback on what ppl think about other providers...there are a couple to consider...
i was actually thinking of going one step further and getting a decent business style connection with at least some decent upload capabilities to put up my own server, maybe move totalrpm over etc... but the prices of resellers are just ridiculous... have to submit a formal application to comindico to find out what their prices are... might be worth it |
