hi guys, i need some advice,
im in perth and i currently have a 1995 civic hatch Gli (eg6 shape)
was thinking of doin an engine upgrade.. will the integra vtir engine fit into the bay?
any idea how much would that cost?or how much will the trype R engine cost?
wat other stuff must i upgrade as well?and wat can i do wif the old gli engine?
thanks |

hey ekshen,
Im not familiar with the gli, would that have the non v-tec twin cam head?
Alot of people who are producing crazy power and quarter mile times use some type of hybrid like maybe a 2.2 integra bottom end mated up to a 1.8vtec head along with forced induction, obviously they wouldnt be that streetable...
what are you after, a little increase in power and maintain some nice drivability or do you wanna just pull 11's?
im not certain but i think the 2.2's line up but maybe the head is a little too big, not really sure. One things certain is that the 1.8 vtec twin cam (118kw version) will bolt right up with no dramas, should be cheaper and easier to find than an integra version. |
