i have heard from my mechanic that after my turbo, intercooler, and chip that i might be pulling mid 13's
hope that is true as i want to have the fastest tx5/626/mx6
but the mods won't stop there, as soon as i get money for forced cold air induction, 550cc injectors, 300zx fuel pump and some forge's i hope to achieve my goals

hey 90tx5....
are you sure its the F2T powered, and his done a 4WD conversion, i thought something like that would be not economically viable..
i recently spoke to a guy about converting the mx6 to RWD, basically it can be done and doesnt seem excessively expensive, basically the custom tailshaft will set you back from 4 - 500 dollars and then you just have to sort an appropriate gearbox, diff and axel's, after the diff and axel's are matched to the floorplan its just a matter of connecting the thing up..
if anyone is very mechanically minded and has some experience or knowledge with drivetrains it might be worth looking into....
At the moment i think im just going to stick with the fwd setup until im in the low to mid 13's then we will see i suppose.
as far as those injectors are concerned 90tx5, i think they might be an overkill unless your going for heaps more power, but if thats the case you should consider an aftermarket ecu instead of just chippin. Im aiming for around 300 - 350 hp at the flywheel which i think will be good for low to mid 13's with a proper launch.. im just using a chip but need to sort out a larger pump and injectors before i can boost up the vf22... imho you will need to upgrade the fuel system to get into the high 13's with at least a fuel pump, low to midz will require larger injectors if you dont want to run lean or run the risk of your injectors failing at 100% duty cycle
tell us more about this 12 second F2T??? |

All you need to turn a Mx-6 or 626 hatch/wagon into a 4WD is the rear 4Wd assmebly form a wagon or hatch and gearbox the Mx-6 I think you may need a custom tail shaft and move a few things around Nothing special but 4Wd Wagons were made from 88-97 the Wagons came with every motor on offer. So if you want a V6 in your 1st gen Mx-6 look to the wagon

the mx6 feels like a high 14second car atm unfortunately and thats with around 10 - 11psi on the vf22 but with a badly needed clutch i hope i will register mid 14's which i will be happy with on that boost level. Still need the ecu tuned and the injectors/pump to go in, once thats sorted mid 13's shouldnt be impossible with some more boost |
